If a valid Counter-Notice is received by the Designated Copyright Agent, we may send a copy of the Counter-Notice to the original complaining party informing that person that we may replace the removed material or cease disabling it in 10 business days. Users may be able to use copyrighted material without permission under the doctrine of “fair use” (or similar doctrines like “fair dealing” in other jurisdictions) for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. Whether a particular use qualifies as fair use depends on the specific facts of the case, considering factors such as the purpose and character of the use, the nature of the copyrighted work, the amount used, and the effect on the potential market for the work. Users are responsible for determining whether their use of content qualifies as fair use.
